What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 reminds me to focus on eternal things and not daily troubles, which are light and momentary. Eternal glory will outweigh all of our earthly struggles!

Where did you grow up, and where have you lived?
I lived in many places growing up, but have happily been in the upstate for the past 20 years!

What do you love about serving at MRCA?
The relationships I have made with the students is my favorite part of being at MRCA. They are all unique, with different strengths and gifts, and it has been such a pleasure to get to know each one of them! In addition to that, I get to do my favorite thing while I am here – math!

Besides Jesus, who is the person you would most want to meet?
I am still thinking about this!

What are your hobbies?
I enjoy reading and being outdoors when I have free time!

What was the best vacation you ever took and why?
My best vacation was going to Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. There are no words to adequately describe the beauty of the mountains and the turquoise water of the lakes there. My favorite trips always involve being in God’s creation and seeing his handiwork!

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
My weekends revolve around my 5 kids – taking them where they need to be, cooking, and going to their games, etc.

Which Bible story has grown your faith the most?
There are so many Bible stories that talk of Jesus going to the unreachable, undesirable, and the unlovable. He sought out the poor and needy and didn’t turn away from them. This gives me faith to believe that he can love me, even though so many of my moments I fall short and there is no reason He should pursue me. What an amazing thought that even though we go astray, He will seek us and bring us back to Himself!
