What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Where did you grow up, and where have you lived?

I was born in Dallas, Texas, and spent my younger pre-school and elementary school years in three cities – Dallas, Houston & Austin. Then our family made the big move to Simpsonville, South Carolina, where we lived in my middle and high school years. I have only been away from this area for college and a few years after college. I came back to raise our family here and been here since on the Greenville Eastside.

What do you love about serving at MRCA?

The opportunity to be on mission daily for the Lord and to play a small part in planting seeds in the next generation.

Besides Jesus, who is the person you would most want to meet?

Frances Chan, as I so love his heart and obedience for the Lord. That man lives life fully on mission for the Lord.

What are your hobbies?

Coaching soccer, playing soccer, running, hiking, spending time on the lake, and (most special) having family recreational time

What was the best vacation you ever took and why?

My best vacation was my honeymoon with Dana, as we were so fortunate to go across the world to Bora Bora, French Polynesian Islands, and share endless time talking, dreaming, doing adventure outdoor activities we had never done and enjoying amazing dining experiences. The overwater bungalow is truly a spectacular way of living!

What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?

Relaxing and hanging out with my wife and children (3 boys and 1 daughter)

Which Bible story has grown your faith the most?

Paul’s letters have shown me how God uses people in His story and how He can accomplish special things even in people you would never have thought he would. I am constantly amazed in the Bible on who God uses and how their life and story impacts me and my desire to live a life worthy of the calling God has for me.
