What is your favorite Bible verse and why?
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse is a wonderful reminder that our Lord and Savior is in control of our lives and his plans for us are wonderful because of his mercy, grace and love.
Where did you grow up, and where have you lived?
I was born and raised in Greenville and am so thankful to raise my family here as well.
What do you love about serving at MRCA?
I love serving at a place that adores Jesus 🙂 Our staff love Jesus, and it’s evident it all that they do. He is all over this place, and I so grateful to get to witness his love through our staff and students day in and day out.
Besides Jesus, who is the person you would most want to meet?
My great grandmother (my dad’s grandmother) is the person that I would LOVE to meet. She helped raise my amazing daddy, and oh what a wonderful man! Thankfully, one day in heaven I will be able to meet this special lady from my dad’s life!
What are your hobbies?
I love working in the yard, decorating, boating at the lake, exercising, and watching Clemson football. Go Tigers!
What was the best vacation you ever took and why?
Between many trips to the Charleston beaches growing up and family trips out of the country, I would still have to say that my favorite vacations have been those with my husband. We have had the privilege of a helicopter ride in St. Lucia to enjoying Disney World (as adults) with lots of fun places in between. It’s just too hard to choose!
What is your favorite way to spend a weekend?
It’s hard to choose between Fall weekends at Clemson cheering on the tigers or Summer weekends at the lake. Either way, I love doing any weekend with my sweet family!
Which Bible story has grown your faith the most?
As simple as it sounds, Noah’s Ark for many reasons. God spoke to Noah, and he listened. And look how listening to God protected Noah and his entire family. It amazes me that two of EVERY animal filled the ark, even the smallest of creatures. God cares about ALL, big or small. And have you ever wondered, how did all of those animals know how to get to the ark and when to do so? Also, God always provides what we need, just as he did for Noah’s family and all of the animals. And God’s promises are always fulfilled; rainbows are always a beautiful reminder of that fact!
